The Ugly Truth is an ‘R’ rated movie. It is hilarious to the core with a dash of adult humor and is surprisingly geared towards both, men and women. What I meant to say, is that men and women will be entertained by the movie equally. This movie does not drag at any point of time. So it excludes the main element included in most romantic comedy films- ‘boredom’.
Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler have staged a great performance in this film. Both suit their roles. Thus, watching them in their characters will truly be lovely. The story in this film is unique and not typical like the ‘boy meets girl - girl loves somebody else - girl later realizes who her true love really is’ type. This film really needs to be placed in a category of its own. Don’t agree?
